The Chardonnay Durell is quite understated in this vintage. Usually much more overt, the 2015 has a weightless feel that is hugely appealing. Orange peel, savory herbs, mint and dried flowers give the wine its aromatic nuance, while the fruit lies more in the background. There is plenty to like here.

Offers concentrated and pure-tasting flavors of fresh-cut apple, Asian pear and kiwifruit that are rich, with tensile minerality. Smoky notes show on the long, well-honed finish. Drink now through 2024. 172 cases made.

This producer's light take on the variety continues to impress with this vintage. Anise and oak hints combine on the nose to invite one in for an elegant taste of bright, juicy acidity and refined lemon and green apple flavors.
