This is a gorgeous and balanced garnacha with a dried-strawberry and cherry character, as well as hints of flowers. Medium body, ultra-fine tannins and a long, fresh finish. Drink now.

The most Mediterranean of the single vineyard reds is the 2015 Labros, which is always riper and a little headier showed quite restrained and didn't transmit any heat. Organic farming seems to have made the vines more resistant to heat. Furthermore, they saw it coming and got ready for the heat. This work seems to have delivered very good results, as this is fresher than many 2015s within its earthier character. It's balsamic, reminiscent of a vermouth, even a Barolo Chinato. There are more rustic tannins here than in 2016. It matured in used 500-liter oak barrels for 12 months. 2,461 bottles were filled in March 2017.
