Very composed nose of green apple and butter, with almost tarte tatin-like notes, leesy character, linden and candied lemon. Full-bodied with tangerine flavor and fine, persistent mousse. Tight, almost tannic mid-palate, yet a balanced, chalky finish with a long, toasty aftertaste. Drinkable now, but best in 2-3 years.

With fine maturity, this Champagne and its toasty aroma is in a ripe style with tangy white fruits and a yeasty flavor. Drink this well balanced, fine wine now.

Effusive and fleshy, the 2016 Champagne Millésime Brut pours a medium-golden hue and offers forward aromas of golden apple, ginger, and honeyed citrus. Medium to full-bodied, it’s expansive on the palate, with a pithy texture and ripe fruit through the finish. Generous and giving, with biscuity notes on the finish, it’s ready for drinking now and mid-term cellaring. Drink 2023-2030.
