I exclusively use B‑21 for my online wine purchases. I may check around on other sites to see pricing, but B‑21 is always at least the same price, if not less. The website is easy to use. I typically purchase cases and try to take advantage of any free shipping offers. Since I don't like to wait around the house for delivery (UPS needs to verify age), I just have it shipped to the local CVS in town. It's usually there for pickup in less than a week of purchase.

The Elvio Cogno 2019 Barolo Cascina Nuova is the most accessible of the many excellent Barolos made by this leading estate in the village of Novello. The fundamental value offered by this wine is even more irresistible in a classic vintage like 2019. The wine opens nicely in the glass, unfolding to redcurrant and wild berry. There are varietal tones of licorice, cola and camphor ash over a firm, mid-weight texture. Some 20,000 bottles were made.

The 2019 Barolo Cascina Nuova is bright, effusive and beautifully lifted, right out of the gate. Crushed flowers, dried herbs, sweet red cherry, cinnamon, spice and hard candy soar out of the glass. Bright and medium in body, with plenty of verve, the 2019 is an absolute delight. I very much like the energy here. Moreover, the incisive Ravera tannins are nicely handled.
