I exclusively use B‑21 for my online wine purchases. I may check around on other sites to see pricing, but B‑21 is always at least the same price, if not less. The website is easy to use. I typically purchase cases and try to take advantage of any free shipping offers. Since I don't like to wait around the house for delivery (UPS needs to verify age), I just have it shipped to the local CVS in town. It's usually there for pickup in less than a week of purchase.

Ordering was flawless. FedEx however, first confirmed delivery for Thursday, then for Friday, and finally for Monday. So it wasn’t two day delivery, it was six. That’s not on B‑21, but FedEx and I want to make that clear. I’m very pleased with B‑21.

A sweet deal on top scoring Bordeaux blends from some of the region’s most undervalued estates, these “four lollipop” under $40 selections hit the sweet spot for Bordeaux lovers seeking outstanding value, an inviting selection of age worthy blends unbeatably priced for Bordeaux bargain hunters to stock the cellar. Among the highlights

  • Calling it “a wine that does everything right,” Jeb Dunnuck describes the elegant 96 pt. 2020 Chateau Ripeau St. Emilion as revealing “perfectly integrated oak, an elegant, layered mouthfeel, polished tannins, and a great finish” that promises to “evolve nicely for a solid two decades.”
  • Described as “a seductive Pessac-Leognan” by Vinous critic Neal Martin, the sophisticated 94 pt. 2016 Chateau LaTour Martillac Rouge offers fresh concentrated dark fruit with Pessac’s signature minerality and a “gutsy finish” according to the Wine Spectator’s James Molesworth.
  • Declaring it “a don’t miss wine,” the powerful 96 pt. 2020 Chateau Marquis D’Alesme from Margaux reveals “a savory Cabernet emphasis” according to Inside Bordeaux’s Jane Anson with juicy, opulent dark fruit and mouth coating, velvety tannins
  • The Wine Spectator’s James Molesworth calls the rich 96 pt. 2020 Chateau Grand-Puy-Ducasse “a pretty gorgeous Pauillac” offering fresh vibrant dark fruit hinting of graphite
  • Sourced from Cabernet Sauvignon planted near First Growth Lafite Rothschild, Antonio Galloni of Vinous calls the muscular 94 pt. 2019 Pedesclaux “a racy voluptuous Pauillac” that’s “terrific in 2019”
  • Crafted by the winemaking team at the esteemed Chateau Montrose and “everything a second wine should be” according to Jeb Dunnuck, the “velvety and expressive” 94 pt. La Dame de Montrose reveals “a silky, graceful texture, light tannins, and a great finish” according to the Wine Advocate’s William Kelley
  • Described by Inside Bordeaux’s Jane Anson as “one of the most exciting insider wines of the entire Bordeaux region,” the refined 96 pt. 2020 Chateau Gloria offers “silky tannins and layers of fresh black fruit” according to James Suckling, summing it up as “classy.”
  • Called a “brilliant Pessac-Leognan” by Jeb Dunnuck, the elegant, Merlot-dominated 95 pt. 2020 De Fieuzal Rouge is a “powerful wine that is full of dark black fruits” according to the Wine Enthusiast’s Roger Voss with classic minerality “that will clearly age well” according to critic Jane Anson.

A sweet deal on a cellar worthy assortment of under the radar gems, this treasure trove of irresistible “four lollipop” selections are all bargain priced for B-21 Bordeaux lovers to stash away to enjoy over the next few decades, a terrific opportunity to stock the cellar with high scoring, value priced Bordeaux whether choosing a few favorites or mixing a case.

Offering up aromas of sweet mulberries and blackberries mingled with hints of licorice, violets and red fruit compote, the 2020 de Fieuzal is medium to full-bodied, rich and gourmand, its broad attack segueing into a supple, layered mid-palate that's framed by ripe acids and sweet, powdery tannins. This is a deeper, more powerful Fieuzal than its 2019 counterpart.

94 points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate (Apr 2023)

From a château that deserves more recognition in the market, the 2020 Château De Fieuzal is a brilliant Pessac- Léognan based on 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Petit Verdot raised in 60% new barrels. It has a gorgeously pure nose of cassis, ripe black cherries, violets, spice, and scorched earth. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, seamless, layered wine with ripe tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great mix of richness and elegance. It deserves 4-5 years in the cellar and will drinking incredibly well over the following two decades.

94 points, Jeb Dunnuck (Mar 2023)

The Quinn family has delivered a serious wine in 2020, abrupt on the finish right now from the heavy structure but this is packed full of bristling fruit, plump and broad shouldered and will clearly age well. Floral aromatics on the close of play that add a violet lift and an expansion that is totally charming.

94 points, Jane Anson (Feb 2023)

Attractive aromas of ripe dark berries, sweet spices, nut shell, fine herbs and graphite. Full and opulent palate with an array of plush, fine-polished tannins which coat the mouth. Succulent dark fruit character beneath. Fresh, long-lasting and flavorful with a firm finish. Try after 2025.

93 points, James Suckling (May 2023)

Composed of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2020 de Fieuzal Rouge is deep garnet-purple in color. It wafts out with fragrant scents of dried flowers and fallen leaves over a core of plum preserves and warm cassis plus a touch of Chinese five spice. The medium to full-bodied palate offers bright acidity and a firm, grainy texture to support the muscular fruit, finishing with great length and energy.

93 points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent (Mar 2023)
