The nose on this wine suggests lightly cured pork before giving up earth tones of tree bark, soil, berries and brambles. The palate is juicy if still savory, with blackberries and raspberries but also ripe tomatoes and red pepper jam. Tannins are chalky and clingy, and acid is vibrant.
