Spicy and fresh nose with some olives, cassis and a splash of dark chocolate. The medium- to full-bodied palate is laden with powdery tannins before a savory, juicy finish. A tad saline, too. Drink now.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Marques de Casa Concha includes 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 1% Syrah and 1% Carménère from Puente Alto, Maipo. It was aged for 15 months, 60% in French oak barrels and the rest in foudres. Garnet-red in hue. The nose presents redcurrant notes with hints of pink pepper, clove, sandalwood and ash over a bed of cigar box. Indulgent with a smooth texture. The finely grained tannins and mild freshness channel the flow before the lingering, sweet, fruity finish.

The 2021 Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon was produced with grapes from the Puente Alto and Pirque and has 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 1% Syrah and 1% Carmenere blended in. It has 14.5% alcohol, good freshness and integrated oak after 16 months in French barrels and 5,000-liter Italian oak vats from Piamonte. This is again a textbook Cabernet from Maipo, juicy, crunchy, fresh, with the grainy tannins from the variety and the stony soils. There's purity; it's clean and young, a little grapey. 780,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2022.
