Bright, forward plummy fruit with accents of spice and leather dominate the aromas of this youthful, energetic wine. The texture is lively and fresh, and the accent is firmly on perfume rather than muscle. The light body and crisp acidity belie the subtle persistence on the palate. The wine is a blend of half declassified premier cru grapes from Les Plantes and half from the village-level portion of the Combe d'Orveau that were both picked on 21 September. The fruit is vinified with a very gentle hand, and fans of traditional Chambolle-Musigny should love this bottling.

The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Village is just as perfumed in bottle as it was from barrel, soaring from the glass with scents of wild berries, orange zest, rose petals, peony and spices. Medium to full-bodied, cool and pure, with supple tannins and a saline finish, it's a model of elegance.
