Renowned as masters of California Zin for over a half century, these top scoring 2021 Ridge Vineyards Zinfandels offer a range of the iconic winery’s styles from single vineyard expressions to a multi-vineyard blend, ranking among the highest rated Zins from an outstanding vintage and affordably priced for stocking up whether choosing a favorite or mixing a case.

Continuing the "hands-off" winemaking tradition established by iconic winemaker Paul Draper over five decades ago, Ridge employs a non-interventionist, vineyard-focused approach with an emphasis on organic viticulture, hand harvesting the grapes and fermenting with native yeasts, bottling most wines unfiltered and unfined and maturing its Zin blends in different aged barrels of 100% American oak with only a fraction of the barrels new. Sourced from some of Sonoma's oldest vines planted in 1914, the rich and seamless 95 pt. 2021 Ridge Pagani Ranch is a blend of 90% Zinfandel, 5% Petite Sirah and 5% Alicante Bouschet aged in 3% new American oak for 14 months, yielding a “well balanced, elegant wine” with “light, toasty oak accents” according to the Wine Enthusiast’s Jim Gordon and summed up as “a beacon for Sonoma County Zinfandel-based field blends” by Antonio Galloni of Vinous built to enjoy over the next decade. Crafted as a Sonoma County blend of 65% Zinfandel from vines ranging to 100 years of age with Petite Sirah, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet, head winemaker John Olney aged the rich and ripe 92 pt. 2021 Ridge Three Valleys in 10% new American oak for 12 months, presenting “a cornucopia of fruit in a classical blend” according to Wine and Spirits editor Joshua Greene that will continue to drink deliciously over the next few years. From Ridge’s estate vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley planted with a field blend that includes 100 plus year-old Zinfandel, the powerful 2021 Ridge Lytton Springs is “bright and vibrant to its core” according to Antonio Galloni of Vinous, a blend of 72% Zinfandel, 15% Petite Sirah and small amounts of Carignan, Alicante Bouschet, Cinsault and Counoise aged in 10% new American oak for 16 months and robustly structured to evolve for more than a decade.

Crafted from seriously old vine Zinfandel and masterfully blended, these highly rated 2021 Ridge selections live up to the estate’s legacy for over delivering value, a well-earned reputation that California Zinfandel fans know promises some seriously pleasurable drinking ahead.
