My mixed case of Cliff Lede Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Black arrived quickly. The packaging is excellent as the bottles are packed horizontally in thick padded form‑fitting shelves that also work wekk as wine racks. I highly recommend B21 and its charming Tarpon Springs home base.

Driving up California’s Highway 1 from Bodega Bay with stunning Pacific Ocean vistas in view, it may be easy to see why Joan and Walt Flowers fell in love with the rugged landscape of Camp Meeting Ridge, but it’s hard to imagine how they ever thought the steep, high altitude terrain would become a prime site for growing Chardonnay. Despite the advice of UC Davis that the area was inhospitable for growing grapes, the Flowers’ hands-on experience as nursery owners led them to establish Flowers Vineyard and Winery on the property in 1998, producing Burgundy style Chardonnay boasting “elegance and intensity with great balance” according to the Wine Enthusiast’s Melanie Wynne and attracting an influx of elite winemakers including Martinelli, Pahlmeyer, Peter Michael and Williams.
