Some spiced rums are merely colored, not aged; but this nut-brown spirit is made from a base of rum aged for four years in oak barrels. With that context, the boozy and slightly Bourbon-like toffee aroma makes perfect sense. Needs a little time in the glass to open up the flavors, but the reward is a sweet, subtly clove- and ginger-spiced spirit with a bitter almond finish.

Pale amber color. Fruity and spicy aromas of honeyed cherries and citrus peels and vanilla with a zesty, off-dry medium body and a praline and peppery spice finish. An attractive and well flavored spice rum.
