This sweet vermouth is deep and intriguing, from the dark winy color to the plummy, raisin-like fragrance. A fleeting sweetness, redolent of dried fruit and juicy prune notes, gives way to a dry, bitter finish, which saves it from becoming cloying. Medium to heavy in feel. Very easy drinking, especially with ice, and it’s easy to imagine sipping this, well chilled, on a hot day. Highly Negroni-worthy.
