Slightly astringent, tight carbonation feel which induces a creamy mouthfeel and smoothness on the palate. Light malts, touch of chocolate, caramel and molasses. Hints of banana. Mineral body and flavour, with a thin citrus hop flavour that matches the malts and balances things out quite nicely. A most delicious dunkel weissbier. A highly recommended brew ... from this expert weissbier brewer.

This brew isn’t cloudy (as it should be) even when poured aggressively, and wears a dark brown color with a rocky, tan crown. Overripe plums dominate the aroma; the expected banana and clove aromas are noticeably absent. The flavor also departs from the style, with harsh, deep toasted malts and only subtle caramel sweetness. What the brew lacks in complexity is made up for in the toasted malt character, which lasts deep into the aftertaste. This light-bodied brew finishes clean with mild peppery spice.
